Garden Week 1 And A Storm

These ominous looking clouds headed our way - the sirens were blaring and we headed for the basement

They produced this hail

Sounded like someone was throwing rocks at the house!

Our little garden stood strong and didn't buckle under the onslaught - Beets are growing as you can see above (if you look real hard)

Radishes!

Two tiny little carrot leaves - if you squint and turn your head sideways you can see them in the center of the picture. ;o)

Four little corn stalks

The box received it's face lift and now matches the shed.
Stay tuned for a week by week update on the garden project. I know someone out there must be interested!

I enjoyed seeing pics of your garden. We did a square ft. garden too. Have zucchini, spaghetti squash, radishes, romaine, spinach, butter lettuce, onions, cukes. I think that is all. :-) Oh, tomatoes too. I am going to try the way of growing the squash & tomatoes on wire, so it grows up rather than out. We'll see how it turns out. ;-/

I love how neat and organized a square foot garden looks. I'll be watching it grow along with you.
